How to appoint an examiner at EECS
Before the start of the course, there must be information about who is the examiner on the course. The examiner is appointed by the director of first and second cycle education (GA) on delegation from the head of school.
New academic year
Before each new academic year, the school's office of student affairs sends an e-mail asking if existing examiners should be changed and who should be appointed as examiner for new courses.
Current academic year
If there is a change/addition during the current academic year, the director of studies notifies the school’s office of student affairs, which prepares a decision. Please note that the current examiner should not be removed before the re-examination period for the course has also been completed.
Process
The school's office of student affairs prepares a decision and updates information about the examiner in Kopps according to the decision and sends it to Ladok, who adds certifying rights.
After information about the examiner has been entered in Kopps, it is synchronised to the course room in Canvas the next morning. For more information see: How users are added to Canvas | KTH Intranet .
