VR - Strategic Recruitment of Associate Senior Lecturers
The Swedish Research Council will with this grant give the most promising junior researchers the opportunity to develop independence and to build scientific and teaching merits for employment as a senior lecturer.
After evaluation, continued funding at senior lecturer level may be granted for up to five years. The grant will also reward mobility and recruitments of strategic relevance for the higher education institution.

2025
1/12 Deadline at KTH for a pre-proposal containing:
- First page – project title, applicant (name, gender, school at KTH and e-mail)
  - Project description (max 2 pages).
  - CV, including information about the candidate's mobility and international experience (max 2 pages).
  - Support letter with a motivation from the nominating school/department (max 1 page).
Send the proposal to halltell@kth.se at the Research Support Office (RSO). Please put the different parts (max 6 pages!) of the application together into one PDF file!
3/12 Proposals are sent to the evaluation group for prioritization. KTH is allowed to send in 6 applications. At least half of the researchers nominated must have an international background.
Week 50 Panel meeting at RSO.
17/12 The applicants are informed about the results.

14/1 The call opens at VR.
26/1 Deadline for full application sent to halltell@kth.se at RSO (if you want feedback).
4/2 Feedback on full application.
17/2 Deadline at VR (2 pm) - Strategic Recruitment of Associate Senior Lecturers 2026 (first round).
