Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation

The largest of the Wallenberg Foundations is the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation, founded in 1917, which promotes scientific research within the natural sciences, technology, and medicine.

The Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation (KAW) promotes long-term, independent research in the natural sciences, technology and medicine. Since its inception in 1917, KAW has approved over SEK 37 billion grants – including SEK 2.2 billion a year in recent years – for excellent research and education in Sweden.
