Quick reference guide on how to add shared mailbox on an Android phone
Before you follow the quick reference guide, you need to know what the name of the shared mailbox is, hence it is not always the same as its e-mail address. Contact KTH IT-Support if you need to get the correct name.
Go to Settings
Select Cloud and accounts
Select Accounts
Select Add account
Select Personal (IMAP)
Type in the shared mailbox mail address and select Manual Setup
Select Personal (IMAP)
Type in your personal KTH-password
Type in the following for the incoming server settings:
(If you get problems getting passed this step then restart the phone and try from step 1 again) Username: ug.kth.se/username/shared mailbox name (Note: your KTH username without "@kth.se")
Password: Your KTH password
Server: webmail.kth.se
Type in the following for the outgoing server settings:
Username: Your KTH username without @kth.se
Password: Your KTH password
SMTP server: smtp.kth.se
Press Next to finish setting up your shared mailbox. 11. Choose sync frequencey. And press next. 12. Type in your name (optional). And press next. 13. Done!
Enter the shared mailbox’s email address and press “Continue”. If you already have Outlook installed with an e-mail account, you will need to add an additional e-mail account.
Press the question mark and “Change account provider”.
Select "IMAP".
Check “Advanced settings” and fill in the IMAP settings as follows:
Email address: The shared mailbox’s email address
Display name: Optional to fill in
Description: Optional description of the shared mailbox
IMAP hostname: webmail.kth.se
Port: 993
Port security: SSL/TLS
IMAP username: ug.kth.se/your own username/functional mailbox name
Neither the username nor the functional mailbox name should contain @kth.se or @ug.kth.se.
IMAP password: The password for your own KTH account
SMTP hostname: smtp.kth.se
Port: 587
Port security: StartTls
SMTP username: Your own KTH username (not @kth.se or @ug.kth.se)
SMTP password: The password for your own KTH account
Tap the checkmark at the top right to complete the configuration.
