Deactivation of e-mail and KTH Account

Information about deactivation of e-mail and KTH Account when you have quit or are about to quit KTH.

In line with President decision (V-2019-0587), in Swedish  and starting 1st of October 2019, KTH have started deactivating e-mail accounts and other IT resources for people that quit KTH. Deactivation is done manually, on request from the processes for termination of employment and other affiliations. KTH's schools/GVS can make decisions regarding potential exceptions and manually affiliate persons to KTH that they are responsible for.

The time to process a deactivation may vary depending on how the processes are set up at the different schools/GVS.

If you already have finished your studies or employment at KTH, you will be informed via e-mail of the upcoming deactivation and given the opportunity to move your e-mail to another e-mail provider  for a limited period of time.
