License Manager

Local license managers handle licensing issues at schools. The task includes local support, installations, reporting and ordering, payment, and contacts with suppliers and the License Coordination Function as well as the school management, etc.

License Manager

  • Handles software purchases and licenses
  • Asks for approvement from the school's management when acquiring new software
  • Designis a process for managing the most common software at school
  • Responsible for the school's license monitoring by consulting license coordination finction function
  • In turn, may request license reporsts from school staff
  • Registers software and license in a license register
  • Following up the management and use of the software to comply with Terms of Use
  • Reporting any discrepancy from compliance to the school's management
  • Informs school staff about changes related to licenses, software and agereements
  • Reports quarterly to the school's management about the school's license management
  • Is the dedicated role of dialogue with license coordination finction function at IT department, school activities (users) and school management
  • Attends KTH Joint Coordination Meetings regarding asoftware acquisitions to achieve the greatest possible synergy effect
  • Responsible for organizing school's local software needs can be achieved
