Reorganization of departments at the SCI school
The Head of school has decided to implement a reorganization of the Departments of Aeronautical & Vehicle Engineering, Solid Mechanics and Mechanics.
The reason for the reorganization is to raise the already high level of research and education by improving the current organizational structure within the mechanical field. This means that today's divisions between the subject areas will be removed and that the faculty renewal, where the work of rejuvenating and getting gender balance with more female students and teachers, will be prioritized.
A working group has now been given the task to present a proposal on the future organization including the infrastructure regarding Odqvistlaboratoriet, by 1st June 2018. The reorganization will then take place 1st January 2019.
