Decision on programme management for Future Education at KTH (V-2024-0830 Ks 3.1)
Anna Jerbrant is appointed programme manager for Future Education at KTH, with Joakim Lilliesköld and Gunnar Tibert as vice programme managers. The case describes the background of the change in the programme management and the selection process. Decision
The President appoints Associate Professor Anna Jerbrant as Programme Manager, Associate Professor Joakim Lilliesköld, and Associate Professor Gunnar Tibert as Vice Programme Managers for the change programme Future Education at KTH. The assignments apply from and including 1 November 2024 and up to and including 2027 at the latest.
The matter at hand
Following a decision by KTH's President in June 2022, a decision on principles for Future Education at KTH (V-2022-0380) and by KTH's University Director in December 2022, a decision on programme management for Future Education at KTH (V-2022-0716), is then operated December 2022 the change programme Future Education at KTH. The development activities and implementation of Future Education at KTH are planned to last until 2027.
In December 2022, the University Director appointed Associate Professor Joakim Lilliesköld (EECS) as Programme Manager with a scope of 50% of full time and Associate Professor Anna Jerbrant (ITM) and Associate Professor Gunnar Tibert (SCI) as Vice Programme Managers, both with a scope of 10% of full time. The assignments have been in effect since 1 December 2022.
Due to changes in the current programme manager's other assignments, a restructuring of the programme management is now needed. Associate Professor Anna Jerbrant is proposed as the new Programme Manager to the extent of 50% of full-time, and as Vice Programme Manager, Associate Professor Joakim Lilliesköld is proposed to the extent of up to 20% of full-time and Associate Professor Gunnar Tibert to the extent of 20% of full-time. The assignments apply from and including 1 November 2024 and up to and including 2027 at the latest.
The proposal for a new programme manager for Future Education at KTH has been preceded by an open call in the summer of 2024. The mission statement and requirements profile have been drawn up by the current programme management and an advisory group consisting of Dean Sofia Ritzén, Vice President for Internationalisation Stefan Östlund, Deputy University Director Fredrik Oldsjö and Group Leader Anna Aminoff. Dean Sofia Ritzén, Vice Programme Manager Gunnar Tibert, Programme Coordinator Per Fagrell and Programme Manager Joakim Lilliesköld (not included in the interview with Anna Jerbrant) conducted interviews with candidates during September 2024. After consultation with the rest of the advisory group, the group that interviewed candidates unanimously proposed Anna Jerbrant as the new Programme Manager for Future Education at KTH.
The organisation of the continued work and the operational support needed for the change programme is planned by the programme managers in close dialogue with the President. Organisation and plan are decided in a separate order.
This decision has been made by principal Anders Söderholm after a presentation by Programme Coordinator Per Fagrell. Present at the decision were Deputy University Director Fredrik Oldsjö, President of THS, the Student Union at KTH, Gustav Heldt and Meeting Secretary Helene Rune.
