Decision on programme management and organisation for Future Education at KTH (V-2024-1137)
This revision of previous decisions on the programme management for the change programme Future Education at KTH entails that, as of January 2025 and until no later than 2027, the programme management will have representation from all five KTH schools. New additions include the establishment of a reference group for the University Administration and the appointment of principle managers. The decision was made in December 2024 by President Anders Söderholm, also the programme owner, following a presentation by Anna Jerbrant (Programme Manager for Future Education at KTH).
Date of decision: 2024-12-17
Registration number: V-2024-1137
The Decision
The President decides on a revised programme management and programme organisation for the change programme Future Education at KTH in accordance with Appendix 1. The decision is valid from 1 January 2025 until 31 December 2027.
With this decision, two previous decisions on programme management for Future Education at KTH have been repealed, ref. no. V-2022-0716 and V-2024-0830.
The Matter
The change programme Future Education at KTH has been conducted at KTH since December 2022 following the President’s decision in June 2022 on principles for future education (ref. no. V-2022-0380), and the University Director’s decision in December 2022 on programme management for Future Education at KTH (ref. no. V-2022-0716). The programme is planned to run until the end of 2027.
Future Education at KTH is funded with central allocations from the appropriation for first- and second-cycle education, in accordance with KTH's Operational Plan 2022 (ref. no. V-2021-0802), Operational Plan 2023–2025 (ref. no. V-2022-0649), and KTH’s Operational Plan 2025–2027 (ref. no. V-2024-0988).
Since its establishment, the programme has initiated more than 50 development projects involving all five KTH schools in various ways. In addition, development work is also carried out within the framework of several strategic initiatives at KTH. As the programme has portfolio responsibility for all these development projects, the programme management needs to be expanded to consist of one Programme Director, two Deputy Programme Managers and two Assistant Programme Managers, all affiliated with different schools. The programme also needs a Strategic Support Group, a Reference Group and Principle Managers. KTH’s Management Group is appointed as the programme’s Steering Group.
This decision has been taken by President Anders Söderholm after a presentation by Programme Director Anna Jerbrant. Present at the decision were University Director Kerstin Jacobsson, Deputy University Director Fredrik Oldsjö, President of the Student Union at KTH Gustav Heldt, and meeting secretary Annette Grahn.
