KTH's Management Group

The KTH management group consists of the President, the Deputy President, all Heads of schools, the University Director, the Deputy University Director and the President of THS student union. The management group manages matters concerning strategic management and governance of the University. The group is also advisory consultative to the President in matters concerning planning, follow-up and development of the University’s work and activities.

Tasks of the management group

  • Handle issues related to strategic management and governance of the university.
  • Advising the President on matters related to planning, follow-up and development of the university's operations.

Meetings and contact info

KTH's management group meets every Tuesday morning. The Vice Presidents, the Dean and the Vice Dean of Faculty participate when there is a need or certain interest in a matter. The President decides which other persons shall have the right to attend and speak at the meetings of the management group. Secretary for the management group is Marcus Ivan Stjernström, marcuis@kth.se, at the Management Office.

Heads of School

The head of the school leads and distributes the work within the school and is responsible to the President for the management of the school. Read more about the KTH schools .

University Director, Deputy University Director and President of THS (Student Union)

As head of University Administration , the University Director is responsible for ensuring that cases are prepared in accordance with current statutes and the university's regulations. The Deputy University Director heads the Management Office

Vice Presidents, Dean and Vice Dean

The Vice Presidents, the Dean and and the Vice-Dean of Faculty participate when there is a need or certain interest in a matter on the agenda for the Management Group.

Vice Presidents

For certain operational tasks, the President can appoint and delegate tasks to Vice Presidents.

Dean and Vice Dean of Faculty

The Dean and Vice Dean lead the Faculty Council  and are responsible for quality in research and education.
