In what ways do student-led activities such as Quarnevalen promote learning for future engineers at KTH? Podcast host Marcus Lithander visited the construction site to meet parade teams and discuss afterwards live in the Maxistudio at the KTH Library with Quarneval staff PR representatives ("PRatare") Iris Callerholm and Gustav Heldt ahead of the Quarneval parade on 16 May 2026.
The "Quarneval" is organised by KTH students every three years. The event is a celebration of student creativity and humour, and the highlight is the famous Quarneval parade, which attracts huge crowds.

For three days, parts of Valhallavägen are transformed into a construction site where student groups, not just from KTH, build their floats for the Quarneval parade on 16 May 2026.
