In 2024, Lars Uppvall led the "Structure for partner collaboration on authentic elements in education" project within the Future Education programme. The project has developed a prototype for how KTH can effectively and pedagogically introduce authentic challenges linked to major societal transitions together with actively participating partner organisations in education. Together with Pontus Wadström, they submitted the SoTL contribution "Engaging with Engineering Education: Industry Partners' Motivations and Experiences in Problem and Project-Based Learning Courses" at the co-arranged Storträffen meetup and KTH SoTL conference.
