Canvas Data 2
Experienced API-users can use Canvas Data 2 to extract raw data from Canvas and use it in learning analytics. The tool assumes some knowledge of raw data collection and transformation. Up to date bulk extration
The Canvas Data 2 API extracts the Canvas raw data across various data tables, allowing you to retrieve LMS data in bulk and keep it up to date (with only 4 hours of data freshness). This data can then be used to conduct research and build custom reports, dashboards, and tools.
KTH does not expect this service to be popular among teachers, as the intended audiences for the tool are “institution data analysts, developers, or data administrators with some knowledge of raw data collection and transformation.” However, those interested in using Canvas Data 2 can read more in the following guides:
