By using the About course's administration tool and the function "Course analasys and course data", you as course coordinator or an examiner can publish completed course analyses and course data. Below is a description of how to use the function.

Course analyses and course data are automatically published from P3, VT25

In March 2025, the tool for publishing and editing course analysis and course data will be phased out. The last use is for courses that have been completed during study period 2 in HT24. From study period 3 in VT25, course analysis is filled in and published in Canvas. Course data and part of the course analysis are also automatically published on About course.

According to the Guidelines on course evaluation and course analysis  course analyses must published at About course, at the subpage "Course development".

By using the About course's administration tool "Administer About course", you as a course coordinator or an examiner can publish completed course analyses and course data at the page "Course development".

The course analysis is not created by using the administration tool for About cours. Read on how you create a course analysis and about Systematic Course Analysis and its process.

Why the page Course development?

The content on the page "Course development" is valuable for the student before course selection. The student can also see the results of the course evaluation in which they have participated. For teachers, the content can be used as help for further development of the course.

The purpose of the page is to show how the course has developed over time. When you have published a course analysis and course data for a course offering the current course syllabus and course memo will also become visable at the page.

You can see how course analyses and course data are presented on the page in The content of About course

Functions for managing course analysis and course data

The functions for publishing a completed course analysis and course data, as described below, are structured in three steps where you can go back and forth between the three steps. There is built-in guidance in the tool.

The function "Course analasys and course data" is described in general below, see the page User manual for Course analysis and course data  for more information.

Publish new course analysis with course data

By using the About course's administration tool "Administer About course, you as a course coordinator or an examiner can publish completed course analyses on the public page "Course development". Search for your course in the course and programme directory: Search course . Click on the link "Administer About course".

In the function "Course analysis and course data", select "Publish new" to upload the course analysis, summarize changes in the course and review the fetched course data. You can also edit course data that has been downloaded, it will then be marked on the page that the course data has been edited. You then publish the course analysis with course data for the selected course offering.

When you have published a course analysis and course data the current course syllabus and course memo will also become visable at the page.

Please keep in mind

  • The course analysis should be published after the students have had their results on the course registered in Ladok. The reason for this is that the graduation rate is part of the course data that is published in a table with the course analysis. The number of first-time registered students and the graduation rate for first-time registered students are automatically retrieved from Ladok.
  • The course analysis must be of the PDF file type and meet accessibility requirements.

Language

If the course offering has at least one administrative course instance where English is the language of instruction, the course analysis will be published in English. The name of the course offering and some course information will be stated in English. If all the administrative course instances that are included in the course offering have Swedish as the language of instruction, the course name and certain course information will be stated in Swedish.

Delete draft

If a saved draft will not be used, you can choose to delete it.

Copy link to draft - colleague review

It is possible to let a colleague review a saved draft. When you have a saved draft, you can choose to copy the link to the draft. You can then send the link by e-mail or in another way to another examiner, course coordinator or teacher in the course offering. The link always shows the latest saved version of the draft.

Preview draft

The examiner, course coordinator and teacher can preview drafts for a course analysis that has not yet been published. The examiner and course coordinator can find the draft by using the function "Publish new" under "Course analysis and course data" on the administration tool's homepage, while teachers for the course offering must receive a link sent to them by the examiner or course coordinator, see above.

Change published course analysis

Some information for an already published course analysis can be changed after publication. You then use the function "Edit published" under "Course analysis and course data".

Keep in mind that it is important to state what you have changed in "Comments to changes in course data or course analysis after published".

To the tool

Search for your course in the course and programme directory: Search course . Click on the link "Administer About course". Then select one of the functions in the box "Course analysis and course data".
