Cost management for doctoral programmes

Costs for the defence of doctoral thesis

The costs of the doctoral defence (catering, travel, commission fees, etc.) are charged to the division/department where the project funding for the doctoral student is located. The administration of the defence (lic-seminar) is handled by the administrative team of the project-owning department.

Performance funds after the award of a degree

With regard to the performance funds that accrue after the degree has been awarded, the internal distribution principle is that these go to the department where the principal supervisor has his or her organisational base. If there are reasons for the performance funds to be distributed between different divisions/departments, a written agreement must be drawn up and signed. The distribution is then made by the department's financial officer.
