Applications and nominations for the IVA List of Research Impact 2026 are now open
The IVA List is a development of IVA’s 100 List, which was produced between 2019 and 2024, and aims to highlight current research projects in engineering sciences that demonstrate a clear intention to be commercialised and have the potential to become new innovations for industry and society. The research should be sufficiently mature to be utilised within the foreseeable future.
Application to the IVA List
The research team, or you as an individual researcher, must be based in engineering sciences at KTH and may also work interdisciplinarily with other scientific disciplines to address pressing societal challenges and strengthen the competitiveness of industry. The research projects should benefit from knowledge, perspectives and methods from several scientific fields in order to identify innovative solutions to complex problems.
The IVA List is aimed at:
- Ongoing research
- Research projects with an intention to be commercialised
- TRL 3–7 and IPRL 2–4
Research within the following engineering sub-disciplines:
- Artificial intelligence and autonomous systems
- Advanced digital technologies and electronics
- Biotechnology and life sciences
- Civil engineering
- Electrical engineering
- Energy engineering
- Chemical engineering
- Quantum technology
- Mechanical engineering
- Materials and manufacturing engineering
- Space and aeronautical engineering
Please note that it is the researcher or research team that applies to the IVA List, not the individual Swedish higher education institution or research institute.
