New leadership for third cycle education at EECS
From 1 July 2025, the EECS school will have a new leadership team for third cycle education. With a strong foundation in research and prior experience in the role, three professors will take on key responsibilities for the school’s doctoral education in the coming academic year.
The Head of School has appointed Professor Lars Jonsson as Director of Third Cycle Education (FA) at 40%. Professor György Dán has been appointed First Deputy Director of Third Cycle Education at 30%, and Professor Sarunas Girdzijauskas as Second Deputy Director of Third Cycle Education, also at 30%.
The appointments are effective from 1 July 2025 through 30 June 2026.
Sarunas previously held the role of FA and now brings valuable insights and experience into this new position.
