New teacher at EECS
Here, as a newly employed teacher at the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS), you will find information that you need for your assignment as a teacher/examiner; how to get access to different administrative systems, contact information and more.
System permissions for teacher/course coordinator/examiner
Canvas – KTH's learning platform for course material and communication with students. To get access, you must attend the introductory course Canvas@KTH. As a new teacher, you will receive an invitation to the course online. You can read more here: Learn about Canvas | KTH Intranet .
Ladok – Our study administrative system for, among other things, reporting results. To get access, you must complete user training. The training is conducted online and takes about 20-30 minutes to complete. There are two levels of access; reporting of results and certification of results (for examiners only). Contact the school's education administration manager (UA) via utbadm@eecs.kth.se and state which course you will be participating in and which role you will have (teacher/course coordinator/examiner). UA will then order the correct user training for you.
TimeEdit Preferences – The course scheduling system. You are automatically authorised for your course if you have been appointed as course coordinator/examiner. See also: Find to Preferences .
eISP – The digital system in which KTH manages doctoral student's individual study plans. If you will be a supervisor for doctoral students, you need to obtain authorisation for the eISP system. You get authorised by sending an email to doctoral-education-support@eecs.kth.se and stating the doctoral student's name. See more info here: ISP - Individual study plans for doctoral students | KTH Intranet .
Requirements to become an examiner for a course
To become an examiner for a course at EECS, you must complete the mandatory Qualification Course for examiners in Canvas: canvas.kth.se/courses/37435 . After completing the course, you can be appointed as an examiner. Your director of studies will notify the school’s office of student affairs if you are to be appointed. The school’s office of student affairs then draws up a decision on which course you will be an examiner for.
If you are going to be an examiner for a degree project course, you must also complete at least Module A in the course LH219V Supervision and Assessment of Degree Project Work in First and Second Cycle, 3 credits in addition to the qualification course for examiners. For information on when the course is given and registration form, see Course start – LH219V .
Access to classrooms
Permission to classrooms is ordered by the school's UA. Send an email to utbadm@eecs.kth.se and state your access card number, and the access will be added to your card.
Group web in Social and email list
At EECS there is a group in KTH Social with information for all teachers at the school. The group is called "EECS-grundutbildning". You will be added to the group by the school's UA.
You will also be added to the email list used for information to and from teachers; teachers@eecs.kth.se.
