KTH provides various solutions for chat, on this page you will find information about them.
KTH Slack
Slack is a service for staff that can be adapted using so-called channels to enable effective communication within, and between, different groups. It is also possible to invite users from other organizations to these channels with certain reservations.
The service also has access to dynamic group chats, instant messaging, screen sharing, video calls and more, all gathered in one service.

Zoom
Zoom has a separate chat function in its client that has temporarily been switched on to meet the increased demand for distance communication due to the corona virus (covid-19). Zoom is available for all employees and active students.

Jabber/ Pidgin
At KTH you have access to Jabber that follows the XMPP protocol (which is an open standard), via the application Pidgin. An advantage of Jabber is the possible for encrypted chat.
