Workshops on gender equality, inclusion and equal opportunities
During the academic year 2025 to 2026, SCI is holding workshops on gender equality, inclusion and equal opportunities for different target groups within the school. The work is part of the school’s JML efforts.
2025
During the year, four mandatory workshops were held for doctoral students and postdocs. The aim was to gather experiences, identify areas for development and highlight measures that can contribute to a better work and study environment.
2026
During the spring, the departments have arranged workshops for faculty, focusing on the questions and needs raised in the workshops for doctoral students and postdocs. The aim has been to create shared responsibility around JML issues and to agree on concrete measures and approaches.

12 May, follow up meeting: participants went through the questions and comments that had been raised during the doctoral students’ workshops in the winter and at the faculty meetings in March and April. The meeting served as a final workshop where previous discussions were summarised and followed up.

The workshops will be followed up and evaluated at a later stage. One clear request from doctoral students and postdocs is for this type of workshop to be held on a recurring basis.
