Sustainability objectives

KTH shall be a leading technical university in research for sustainable societal development.

  2. KTH shall implement measures to increase external funding with a clear link to sustainable development, for example by providing seed funding, offering seminars and organising networking events to strengthen contacts between different actors.

  3. KTH shall ensure that a substantial share of the resources allocated to research investments is clearly directed towards addressing sustainability challenges, including net-zero greenhouse gas emissions and climate resilience.

  4. KTH shall strengthen collaboration with the surrounding society and with leading higher education institutions, industry and other societal actors to ensure that research and innovation contribute to sustainable societal development.
