Sustainability objective

Sustainable development shall be integrated into the organisation and working practices of the university, and KTH shall be a nationally and internationally leading actor that, through broad collaboration, drives the transition towards a sustainable society.

Measures

  1. KTH shall ensure that employees, based on their roles, are able to contribute to and lead the integration of sustainable development in decision-making, implementation and follow-up of operations.

  2. KTH shall develop the campus into a sustainability-driven innovation environment that promotes open dialogue, collaboration and innovation projects, and contributes to the development of demonstration environments that visualise and test new solutions in sustainable development.

  3. KTH shall strengthen its strategic collaboration with actors from industry, the public sector and civil society organisations to jointly address societal sustainability challenges.

  4. KTH shall position itself as a national and international leader in sustainable development by increasing the university’s presence in high-level conferences, expert assignments and policy work, as well as media presence.

  5. KTH shall offer all employees and persons working on behalf of KTH relevant professional development that provides the conditions to contribute to a safe, just and sustainable world.

  6. KTH shall identify and implement measures to improve KTH’s sustainability reporting in accordance with international and European requirements (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, CSRD).
