Sustainability objectives
All students graduating from KTH shall have the competence to contribute to and lead the transition towards a safe, just and sustainable world.
Measures

KTH shall ensure that all study programmes achieve at least level 3 according to the CDIO Standard for Sustainable Development through support and follow-up within the quality assurance system for education.

KTH shall offer courses and study programmes with a specific focus on sustainable development at all levels, including continuing and professional education.

KTH shall offer students in the MSc in Engineering programmes and the Architecture programme the opportunity to choose a sustainability profile through elective courses, master’s programmes or tracks with a sustainability focus.

KTH shall integrate knowledge of net-zero greenhouse gas emissions, climate justice and climate resilience within the planetary boundaries framework into compulsory courses or components in all study programmes.

KTH shall, within its education, cooperate with leading higher education institutions, industry and other societal actors to enable interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary learning for sustainable development. KTH is responsible for ensuring that such cooperation is supported and takes place through relevant structures.
