Support for schools and programmes at KTH
The International Student Recruitment (ISR) group is responsible for recruiting international students to KTH's master's programmes. Below is a list of what is being done for all programmes and what is recommended or possible support for further efforts.
Basic level (applies to all programmes)
- Production and updating of programme descriptions (page only avaialble in Swedish) including transfer of course lists from Ladok Education Planning (formerly Kopps).
- Search engine advertising (Google ads) for all programmes based on the content of the programme descriptions.
- Publication of programme descriptions in external (paid) portals, such as TopUniversities.com (QS), Educations.com, Study.eu, Mastersportal.com and TimesHigherEducation.com.
- Webinars for prospective applicants together with each school. See current webinars
- Student ambassadors for all master's programmes in collaboration with the schools. ISR coordinates, trains, photographs, interviews and posts contact forms on the web. See current student ambassadors.
- ‘Connect with a KTH student’: all admitted students are offered a digital meeting with a current student. In collaboration with the schools.
- Material for presenting KTH's master's programmes (page only available in Swedish)
- Marketing via digital advertising, newsletter to interested parties, applicants and admitted students, and content on social media such as:
- Instagram - @kthuniversity ,
- Linkedin ,
- The International Students Blog ,
- Chinese channels - WeChat and Xiaohongshu ,
- Marketing via distribution of printed material, participation in digital and physical fairs and events around the world, and collaborations with recruitment agents, universities and scholarship organisations. See activity list (page only available in Swedish)
- Target group surveys, evaluations and statistics. See current surveys (page only available in Swedish).
Plus level (recommended or possible extra support)
- Programme-specific digital event/webinar (page only available in Swedish) for prospective students (during the autumn term) and admitted students (during the spring term). ISR coordinates, provides presentation templates, markets and follows up.
- Photography of the programmes' study and lab environments, for example for the web and social media.
- Programme introductory video for recruitment (page only available in Swedish) . Project management including discussion of purpose, idea, possibly in collaboration with a communications agency. Additional cost applies.
- Market monitoring, market perspective, search trends, etc. in the event of changes in programme offerings, programme names, etc.
