Course settings
The course room template comes with presets already made. However, it is possible for you as a teacher to adapt your course to your needs by making additional settings.
Course settings can be found at the bottom of the course menu. These are divided into six tabs.
Course information
The most basic settings can be found under the "Course information" tab, for example course name, when the course is available and language on the course. However, all course room templates come with ready-made settings, so you don't need to adjust anything. But if you want to do it, it is possible.
Sections
Course sections are used in courses where not all participants should have access to the same material or have access during different time intervals. You can, for example, distribute different tasks to different students using sections.
Navigation
All course rooms and examination rooms come preset with a navigation structure according to KTH's templates. Under the "Navigation tab" you can add items to the course menu, change the order and set the visibility.
Apps
This is not something KTH currently uses. There are instead so-called LTI apps.

Feature options
Canvas has many different features that are not necessarily useful for all courses or are not fully developed. KTH only has access to a selection of them and you as a teacher can choose whether you want to activate any of them.
Integrations
This feature is not currently used at KTH.
