Sections
Course sections are used in courses where participants should have access to different materials or have access during different time intervals. This tab shows which sections are available and is also where an admin can edit them. Sections are created by IT support.
The Section-tab displays all sections in the course room. Under "People" in the course menu, it is possible to see sections based on who belongs to which sections.
Sections need to be created manually by IT support
You cannot create your own sections and need help from IT support. On the page Sections in Canvas you can read more about how to get help creating sections. There are also examples of different areas of use for sections.
Funka-support is an exception
There is only one section that is created automatically at KTH and it is for students with disabilities who are supported by Funka. That section is used for those who are entitled to extra time during examinations.
