External environmental audit at KTH between 8–9 April

Between 8-9 April the annual external environmental audit will be conducted at all schools, GVS and KTH. The purpose of the external audit is to assess the extent to which KTH is observing policies, practices and goals to minimize harm to the environment. The audit will also assess the integration of the environmental management into operations at KTH and work to achieve KTH's sustainability goals is progressing.

Focus areas for this year's external environmental audit:

  • • Management commitment and leadership
  • • Integration of sustainable development in education and research processes
  • • Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders on sustainability issues, such as business, municipalities and others
  • • KTH's properties and implementation of KTH's campus plan
  • • Waste and waste sorting
  • • Safety regarding: operations subject to permit, fire protection and radiation protection
