The KTH University Board has submitted to the government its proposal to appoint Anders Söderholm, a professor of business administration who currently serves as director general of the Swedish Higher Education Authority (UKÄ), as the next president of KTH.

The decision was made at the June 17 University Board meeting. The government is expected to announce its decision in October about the appointment of KTH’s new president.

In April, following an extensive search process, the University Board Nomination Committee proposed Söderholm for consideration by the Board. , at which stage comments were submitted by KTH faculty, staff and students.

The committee will now continue working on the search for a new deputy president. In this process, the proposed President participates as a member of the Nominating Committee. The chosen deputy president is expected to begin in January 2023.
