EECS University Administration during Christmas
During the Christmas holidays, staff are on site, but on a limited basis. Service Centre opening hours are different and response times may be slightly longer. Read on to find out how to get help with your enquiry this Christmas!

Service Centre
The Service Centre is the gateway to support at EECS, where you can turn to with your questions about, for example, mail, couriers, catering, access, guests or premises. We will also guide you to the right place if you do not know where your question should go.
Deviating opening hours
EECS Service Center has limited opening hours during week 52, week 1 and week 2 (22 Dec-6 Jan);
- Service Center Borggården is open 22/12 and 29/12 10:00-12:00.
- Service Center Q is open on 22/12 10:00-12:00
Servicecenter Q and Borggården will reopen on January 7th with regular opening hours.
Staff are available during regular working days during office hours and can be contacted via service@eecs.kth.se or by phone 08-790 40 00.
Fruit and milk deliveries are paused between 23 Dec and 6 January.
Purchasing
Purchasing is staffed until Dec 18, 2025 and will return from vacation on Jan 7, 2026.
During that time, no purchases will be made (Wisum shopping carts, card purchases or direct procurements under 100,000 sek).
Orders placed just before Dec 18 may have longer delivery times due to public holidays and holidays.
We therefore ask you to let us know if the purchase can wait until after January 7, 2026 to ensure delivery and reduce the risk of return shipping.
Contracts
During the Christmas break, no new contracts will be assigned to KTH's lawyers. The contract function as a whole, from administration to decision-makers, is affected by the Christmas holidays and response times may therefore be slightly longer than usual.

School's office of student affairs
School's office of student affairs is staffed on all regular working days during Christmas and New Year. It is possible to contact education-support@eecs.kth.se for questions about teaching at undergraduate and advanced levels and doctoral-education-support@eecs.kth.se for questions about education at doctoral level, but with lower staffing and slightly longer response times. Urgent matters are referred to utbadm@eecs.kth.se which is staffed throughout the Christmas holidays.
Communication support
The Communication support is unmanned 23/12 2025 – 7/1 2026. Best reached at communication-support@eecs.kth.se .
pEECS newsletter on winter break
The pEECS newsletter is on winter break. The last issue for the autumn semester will be sent out on 18 December. The date for the first issue 2026 for the spring semester has not yet been determined.

HR support
The HR unit is staffed, with the exception of the working days that falls between two work-free days. However, response time may be slightly longer: hr-support@eecs.kth.se
Recruitment advertisements are closed between December 22 and January 1. Recruitment advertisements/systems will be back with full staffing again from January 7. No advertisements will be able to be published or extended on these days. We therefore ask those of you who have advertisements that expire during the period to check now and request an extension as soon as possible, and the same applies to new advertisements - the last day for publication requests is December 18.
IT support
Open and available throughout Christmas, but with a slightly lower service level due to lower staffing. We accept enquiries via it-support@kth.se and via 08-790 66 00.
Management office
The management office will not be available during weeks 52-1. This means that replies to incoming emails will be given on January 7th.
Signature of the Head of School during the Christmas break
We recommend that the necessary signatures from the Head of School are secured before the holiday. The deadline for signatures from the Head of School is December 17th. Contact: ledningsstod@eecs.kth.se .
