EECS University Administration during Christmas

During the Christmas holidays, staff are on site, but on a limited basis. Service Centre opening hours are different and response times may be slightly longer. Read on to find out how to get help with your enquiry this Christmas!

Service Centre

The Service Centre is the gateway to support at EECS, where you can turn to with your questions about, for example, mail, couriers, catering, access, guests or premises. We will also guide you to the right place if you do not know where your question should go. 

KTH Entré

19–20 December: 10.00–14.00
23–26 December: Closed
27 and 30 December: 10.00–14.00
31 December–1 January: Closed
2–3 January: 10.00–14.00
6 January: Closed

Deviating opening hours 

EECS' three Service Centres are open as usual, from 9:00–15:00 all working days, except;

  • Service centres Borggården and Electrum are closed 23 December - 6 January, reopens 7 January 
  • Service Centre Q is closed 23 December -12 January and reopens on 13 January 

Staff are available during regular working days during office hours and can be contacted via service@eecs.kth.se  or by phone 08-790 40 00. 

Fruit and milk deliveries are paused between 23 Dec and 6 January.

Purchasing 

Purchasing is staffed on all regular working days during the Christmas period and will handle all purchases below 100 000 SEK. No new cases above 100 000 SEK will be handled from 22 December to 1 January. 

Contracts 

During the winter holidays, no new cases will be allocated to lawyers, the function as a whole (from administration to decision-makers) will be affected by holidays and response times may be slightly longer than usual.

School's office of student affairs 

School's office of student affairs is unmanned from 23 December to 1 January. Will be open from 2 January via education-support@eecs.kth.se ​​​​​​​ for teacher questions at first-cycle and second-cycle level and doctoral-education-support@eecs.kth.se ​​​​​​​ for questions at third-cycle level, but with lower staffing and slightly longer response times. Urgent matters are referred to utbadm@eecs.kth.se ​​​​​​​ which is staffed throughout the Christmas holidays.

Communication support 

The Communications Unit is unmanned during weeks 28-30 (10-28 July). Best reached at communication-support@eecs.kth.se ​​​​​​​.

pEECS newsletter on winter break 

The pEECS newsletter is on winter break. The last issue for the autumn semester will be sent out on 12 December and the first for the spring semester on 16 January.

Finance

EECS invoice management is closed xxx. You can reach them via invoice@eecs.kth.se ​​​​​​​ 

Remember to add a substitute if you are unable to handle your invoices yourself over the coming weekends. Contact invoice@eecs.kth.se ​​​​​​​ if you do not have a replacement.  

HR support 

The HR unit is staffed, with the exception of the peak days for operational support. However, response time may be slightly longer: hr-support@eecs.kth.se  

Recruitment advertisements are closed between 23 December and 1 January. Recruitment adverts/systems are back but with a slightly limited staffing on 2-3 January and are then in place with full staffing again from 7 January. No adverts will be able to be published or extended on these days. We therefore ask those of you who have adverts that expire during this period to look now and request an extension as soon as possible, and the same applies to new adverts - the deadline for publication requests is 18 December.

IT support 

Open and available throughout Christmas, but with a slightly lower service level due to lower staffing. We accept enquiries via it-support@kth.se  and via 08-790 66 00. 

Management office 

The Management Office is not in place during weeks 52-1. This means that replies to incoming emails will be given on 7 January.

Signature of the Head of School during the Christmas break

We recommend that the necessary signatures from the Head of School are secured before the holiday. Contact: ledningsstod@eecs.kth.se .

Before you leave 

  1. Code your phone to the KTH switchboard when you are not able to answer. In order to provide the best possible service to callers directly on your extensions. 
  2. Add auto-answer to your e-mail.
