AI in education (60 min)

In this workshop, we will explain how you as a teacher can use AI in education, for example by refining a course material or when providing your students feedback. The workshop also highlights different ways in which students may use AI to facilitate their studies and how to use AI in accordance with KTH's guidelines on AI.

Purpose

As a teacher, you will gain understanding of how you can use AI to work more efficient and save time for example when creating a course structure, a learning activity or producing course material. You will also be given the opportunity to test how AI can be used in your teaching, as well as discuss and reflect together with other colleagues at KTH about AI in education. We also emphasize what you as an employee at KTH need to be aware of when using AI.

Preparations

To effectively participate in the workshop, it is important that you have done the following before the session.

  • You, as a participant, need to have access to a text based generative AI. We recommend Microsoft Copilot Chat  , which both teachers and students at KTH have access to via login to their account.

  • You should have tried using a generative AI, such as Microsoft Copilot Chat (or ChatGPT) in order to have basic understanding of how prompting in a chatbot works.

Recommendation: Before the workshop, please consider whether there is anything in particular within your course that you would like to try using AI.

Time required

60 minutes.
