Fika chat on Vision 2027/2028 with Sverker Janson and Gunnar Karlsson
Podcast "Fika Chat on the Future of Education" – episode 73
Fika chat on the future of education episode 73 with the guests Gunnar Karlsson (KTH) and Sverker Janson (RISE).
One year left until the future is here – how close can a fictional 10-year education catalogue be to reality? In episode 73, the catalogue's initiator, Gunnar Karlsson, and Sverker Janson (RISE) discuss with Joakim Lilliesköld and Marcus Lithander about fiction, vision, and reality for KTH's educational activities.
The project KTH Education of Tomorrow describes possible future scenarios for students, teachers, alumni and employers for the 200th anniversary in the 2027/2028 academic year. This is a thought experiment and does in no way represent a commitment by KTH to offer the programmes or concepts described herein.
In August 2016, around twenty representatives from KTH's faculty, as well as from TechSweden (previously called IT&Telekomföretagen), Scania, RISE SICS, Technology Industries of Sweden (Teknikföretagen) and the union Engineers of Sweden, among others, met to participate in a creative workshop on future engineering education. This workshop resulted in a fictional education brochure that provides an idea of how engineering education could be designed in the future.
The concrete images and proposals in the catalogue were intended to be used as a basis for discussion and further work on developing our programmes, which we are doing in today's Fika chat.
Feel free to ask questions in the Zoom chat!
