We invite you to submit your proposal for this milestone exhibition, which will transform the entrance hall of KTH Library into a vibrant hub of innovation throughout 2027.
About the exhibition
This exhibition celebrates KTH’s research – developed in close collaboration with society –that tackles today’s sustainability challenges and actively drives the transformations needed for a better tomorrow. Designed as an accessible popular science exhibition, it targets a broad audience, including KTH students, staff, and the general public.
We want to demonstrate how KTH’s research leads to tangible, transformative solutions in areas such as food, health, water, climate, energy, mobility, and more. Our goal is to ignite curiosity, inspire hope, and show that a sustainable future is not just possible – it’s already being built through education and research at KTH.
The exhibition opens on 1 February 2027 and will be on display throughout 2027. It is a collaboration between KTH 200 Years, KTH Sustainability Office, KTH Library, and Research Support Office - Strategic Initiatives & Collaboration.

- You can submit a maximum of one proposal per person.
- If you are several researchers applying together, please appoint a main applicant. This will be the contact person for all correspondence with the exhibition organizers. The main applicant must be affiliated with KTH, but this is not a requirement for the other applicants.
- Provide a brief description of your research and how it contributes to a sustainable future for society. We encourage writing in an accessible, inspiring, and engaging way with the target audience in mind. Avoid using in-text-citations – instead, include a separate short reference list of relevant publications for the research you have described.
- Describe briefly how you want to present your research at the exhibition. We encourage creative and interactive ideas using, for example, objects, models, sounds, videos, or installations – preferably not posters.
- Please note that you are responsible for producing and/or providing all the materials that you want to exhibit, including short descriptive texts of the materials. If you want to include, for example, plants or other long-term installations that require maintenance, you will be required to oversee them yourself.
- If relevant, you can submit a link to photos, sketches, or other images of the materials you want to exhibit. As a suggestion, share a link to a public website or a folder in OneDrive. The exhibition organizers will collect the images in an access restricted folder for the expert group during the selection process. The images will not be shared with anyone else.
