Duty of disclosure

In premises or places where there is camera surveillance, the individual must be clearly informed that the area is being monitored via signage and information. The signage and information must be directly adjacent to the property or premises.

Camera system

The camera facility and system are integrated into KTH's central security system. KTH's Security Department is responsible for the management, commissioning and maintenance of this.

Surveillance material

Only authorized personnel at KTH's Security Department have access to recorded surveillance material, which is managed and stored within KTH's IT infrastructure. Contracted surveillance personnel at KTH have access to real-time surveillance.

Surveillance material may be disclosed to another authority when there is an obligation to do so, for example upon request from the Swedish Police Authority.

Surveillance material is stored for up to 30 days but may be stored for longer if it is necessary to achieve a specific purpose with the material. This is for example if the surveillance material is needed to investigate a crime. Thereafter, the surveillance material must be deleted immediately.
