Programme details (Swe)

What expectations did you have and did the programme live up to these?

I expected to gain practical leadership frameworks, improve my communication skills in a team setting, and understand how to navigate complex organisational challenges. The programme not only met my expectations but surpassed them. It provides a blend of theory and real-world application that helps understand leadership from strategic and personal perspectives. The case studies and coaching exercised were incredibly impactful. I was particularly impressed by the sessions on different approaches to handling difficult situations and creating strategies to involve the group members in solving problems and reaching goals. The peer feedback exercises also gave me valuable insights. Overall, it exceeded my expectations and equipped me with the confidence and skills to take on more significant leadership responsibilities in my role.

What concrete tools or insights have you taken from the course?

I learned an active listening technique, which has enhanced my ability to empathise and build connections with colleagues. This approach has already strengthened our team’s collaboration and trust. Throughout coaching sessions, I gained insights into my strengths and areas for growth as a leader. Overall, I shifted my perspective on leadership from being directive to more collaborative. I’ve learned the importance of fostering an environment where everyone feels empowered to contribute ideas, which is now central to my approach.

Was there anything that surprised you during the programme, positive or negative?

I was pleasantly surprised by how interactive the set-up was. I initially expected a more lecture-based approach, but the emphasis on group discussions, role-playing exercises, and peer coaching made the learning experience far more engaging and impactful.

Would you recommend the programme to others, and if so, why?

Yes, I would absolutely recommend it to others. One of the standout features is the focus on self-awareness and personalised leadership development, which I found invaluable for understanding my strengths and growth areas. It’s ideal for professionals looking to take on leadership roles, refine their decision-making skills or enhance their ability to manage diverse teams effectively.

One key benefit was the opportunity to network with diverse peers from various departments. Sharing experiences and learning from their perspectives helped me broaden my understanding of leadership challenges and solutions. The relationships built during the programme extend beyond the classroom. I’ve stayed in touch with several participants, creating a support system where we exchange advice and resources to navigate leadership challenges.

How do you think the content reflects future needs in leadership?

It is highly relevant to future leadership needs. It focuses on critical skills like adaptability, emotional intelligence, and leading through uncertainty, which are essential in an ever-changing global environment. One area that stood out was the emphasis on inclusive leadership. As workplaces become more diverse, the ability to foster an environment where everyone feels valued and empowered is increasingly vital.
