KTH announces today on our intranet (Anders Söderholm proposed as new President of KTH | KTH) the suggestion for new President of KTH. The formal decision is made by the government in October, and the change of president is planned for December 1st.
Yesterday, many of us listened to the docent-lecture by Fredrik Asplund, and it was a great honor to welcome him as our most recent docent. The lecture itself was excellent and fascinating. Fredrik has a unique capacity for bridging new areas, moving into new disciplines and collaboration with many areas. It was also interesting to see the industrial relevance as mentioned by industry representatives present.
Today and tomorrow the mechatronics group holds their annual internal conferences for all staff. This year we are in Saltsjöbaden in a conference room “Solsidan” (the sunny side). With an amazing view of the sea.
