Thank you all for your excellent performance during the fire evacuation drill this morning. The weather was perfect, thanks to Peter C:s planning of the event.

A number of MMK staff members choose to exit the building through a stairwell partly filled with smoke. Since this was a drill, the smoke was not dangerous, but if this was a live evacuation, it’s likely that the smoke would have caused fatalities. Please, next time, do not enter a stairwell filled with smoke. You must be aware of where the alternative exit is, and use that.

I was impressed that so many people choose to exit the building immediately and that the evacuation leaders make a very quick search of the building to make sure that no one was left inside.

If you were not present at MMK this morning during the fire drill, please take a moment to reflect upon if you are aware of evacuation exits, emergency exits and the place outside where we gather afterwards.
