Dear all,

The MMK building has been full of (relatively speaking) people who, like me, returned from holiday today and, as me, had forgotten door codes, where to put the coffee mug in the coffee machine and experienced the increased prizes of the food-vending-machine. We also experience a very warm MMK-building, since our building owner tries to keep the energy costs low by turning off the A/C. I hope all have had (or are having) a relaxing summer holiday.

Next week we have invited everyone to a kick-off activity on Wednesday. All ordering of food and drinks will be done tomorrow based on registrations, so please sign up asap if you haven’t done so.

I also want to inform you of an upcoming organizational change. On September 1st, we change unit manager for the Unit of Integrated Product Development and Design. Susanne Nilsson has been unit manager for a number of years. She will remain at KTH (of course), with other assignments, on MMK- and KTH-level. The role of Unit manager typically rotates after a few years, and the timing now was ideal. The new Unit manager is Jenny Janhager Stier KTH | Jenny Janhager Stier, which I trust that you all have met or seen at MMK. I sincerely want to thank Susanne for the great contribution she has made to MMK during these years and I want to welcome Jenny to this new role.

Best,

Martin
