Short video introduction to Mentimeter

Here is a short video guide on how to log in to Mentimeter and to create questions:

Activate your Mentimeter account

Your Mentimeter account must be activated and linked to your KTH account, which is handled a little differently depending on whether you already have an account or license, or if you have not used Mentimeter before.

I already have a free account

  1. Log in to the Mentimeter website  with your KTH e-mail and password.
  2. You will receive an e-mail (after about 10 minutes) to confirm your account and activate the SSO-connection.
  3. You will be logged in to your Mentimeter account and can continue using Mentimeter.

I am a new user (I do not have an account)

  1. Log in to the Mentimeter website  with your KTH e-mail and password.
  2. Mentimeter will automatically create an account for you and connect you to the KTH workspace.

I have bought my own licence

Contact the Mentimeter support by sending an e-mail to support@mentimeter.com . Mentimeter will help you connect to the KTH workspace.

Mentimeter can be used both in classrooms and online

The participants can actively participate in the presentation no matter where they are, since Mentimeter is web-based. You only have to give them a link to follow and they can interact with your presentation through a digital device, such as a mobile phone.

If you have participants over Zoom, we recommend that you share your screen to display the result of the poll there as well, not just on the projector. If you instead want to use Mentimeter during a physical meeting, you can use the "Mentimote" function to control your presentation with your smartphone. This means that you do not have to stay next to the computer to, for example, change the presentation page or open a quiz. Use the Mentimote web application to turn your smartphone into a remote control (mentimeter.com)

Mentimeter is also helpful in a Flipped Classroom -situation, where students before class can answer questions at their own pace, and the questions can then be the focal point for work in the classroom.

Switch between "Presenter pace" and "Audience pace" (help.mentimeter.com) .

Tips and support on the Mentimeter website

Mentimeter has a lot of great help pages on their website. If you wish to receive an answer to a question quickly, we recommend using their chat function. Note that you need to log in with your KTH account (SSO) to use it.
