Battery Value Chain Research Workshop
WORKSHOP
Welcome to a dedicated workshop discussing battery value chain research with the aim of gathering and mapping KTH researchers' competencies along the full value chain. The workshop is organised by KTH platforms for Energy, Materials, Transport, and Industrial Transformation.
Tid: Må 2023-10-23 kl 10.00 - 13.00
Plats: Teknikringen 1, KTH Campus
Workshop overview
Battery Manufacturing and its associated supply chain has become a strategic question with large investments in Sweden, Europe, and the world. Mega factories are planned to operate and grow in the coming years. It poses significant challenges regarding similar raw material supply chain growth, recycling capabilities, staff education, automation, product quality control, testing, integration, etc.
The size and extent of this industry are far beyond traditional battery research and call for a completely new and multi-disciplinary research environment, from raw material to recycling through manufacturing, integration and usage.
To that end, the KTH platforms for Energy , Materials , Transport , and Industrial Transformation organise a dedicated workshop with the aim of gathering and mapping KTH researcher's competencies along the entire value chain.
The workshop will allow gathering and meeting people, finding new ideas and identifying potential actions. It will be followed by presentations and contacts with future stakeholders, namely Magnus Svensson (WISE), Battery Alliance, Northvolt, ABB, and Scania.
