About IT Agreements that will expire soon

We have received the announcement that procurement of framework agreements for personal computers is delayed due to re-examination.

One of the offerer suppliers has requested re-examination, which means that the administrative court must now assess the procurement and evaluation.
The plan has been for the new agreement to begin from 1 December and to replace the current framework agreement that expires on the last of November.

It is difficult to predict developments and delays, given that decisions at first and second instance may also be subjected to re-examinations.
There is a risk that it will not succeed in signing a new framework agreement on 1 December.

Taking into account the above, a quick inventory of existing and upcoming needs of personal computers and tablets is recommended to make orders by last November.

On the last November, our current call-off agreement for clients (personal computers; PC and Mac) expires.

Umeå University is our contracting Party in this, according to the latest status report from them, this continues according to the timetable.
However, there is always a risk of re-examinations that may cause it to pull out on time before we have a new agreement ready.

Because we at KTH should not risk getting into difficulties, we choose to draw your attention to this risk.
An easy way to precede the problem is to plan your eventual purchases for December so that they are already being placed during November, possibly with some extra computers even for January.

If we become contract less, information on the appropriate procedure will be sent out.

We also want to remind you that there are a number of clients with the Windows 7 operating system, as previously announced, they will not be usable after December 1 since the clients are too old to be upgraded to the Windows 10 operating system (this refers to KTH-Windows platform).
