Department-focused teams

Each department now has its own dedicated team supporting its staff. These teams currently consist of:

• HR Generalist
• Project Financial Officer
• Operations Controller

Together, they form a team designed to provide faster and more coordinated support. Some issues can be resolved directly, while others are passed on – but always as a team. In short, they are your first point of contact for support.

Personal contact and shared inboxes – a combined approach

We’re all different – some prefer a specific person to turn to, while others feel reassured as long as their issue gets resolved, regardless of who handles it. At ITM, we’ve long used shared inboxes for all key functions, and that will continue. We’ve also had designated project financial officers, HR contact persons and operations controllers for each department. Using shared email addresses helps ensure that no issue is left unattended if someone is off sick.

What’s changing?

If you’ve already been in contact with a project financial officer or controller, you might not notice much of a change. But for KTH as a whole, this is a step towards a more unified way of working – across all schools.

Here are some concrete improvements:

• Each department-focused team works together to ensure no issues get stuck.
• We’re placing even greater emphasis on being close to you and available when needed.
• HR Generalists can build stronger relationships with the managers they support.
• Everyone in the team can escalate your needs within their respective organisation.
• Better backup in case of illness or other unplanned absence

In short: We’re building a more robust, flexible, and coordinated administrative support across KTH.

What’s next?

In December, the teams will meet to continue strengthening their collaboration and group dynamics.
