Workshops and Drop-in support

Do you have educational questions about e-learning? The topics can, for example, be quizzes, discussion forums, video in teaching, LEQ and course design in Canvas. Welcome to send us an email at .

Personal coaching on e-learning

You can also book a personal coaching session for questions regarding Canvas, course design and e-learning . Together with someone from E-learning, you decide how the coaching should go (email, Zoom, physical meeting, etc.).

Drop-in workshop via Zoom

At these workshops, we at E-learning are on hand to answer your questions about digital teaching and the system support/digital tools that KTH provides, such as Zoom, Canvas and Möbius. You find the opportunities in the E-learning calendar . The workshops give you extra support as a teacher due to the coronavirus and before access to work on campus.

Support on technical questions

Do you have technical questions about, for example, copying a course room to the new course round, log in or accounts? Don't hesitate to contact .

Web guides and self-study course for teachers (on Canvas)

In addition to the information here on the intranet, you as a teacher have access to the course "Canvas@KTH - an introductory course" (external page) . You can freely try and create content and a structure that you, later on, can copy into your actual course room if you want. Log in to Canvas, and you will see the course room "Canvas@KTH - an introductory course" under "Overview" in the menu on the left.

The discussion forum in Canvas@KTH

In the discussion forum in Canvas@KTH (external page) , you can discuss and share ideas, solutions and experiences of adapting KTH education with e-learning technologies to the covid-19 situation. Also, general thoughts about Canvas and digital learning can, of course, be raised here. The forum is divided into five parts: Distance Examination, Web meetings, Education using Canvas, Video and Streaming and General. The purpose of the forum is to provide a space for the exchange of experience between teachers. No support will be available via the discussion forum; here, we refer to the usual support routes.

Global announcements in Canvas

Global announcements in Canvas is a space for news at the top of the overview page (when you are logged in to Canvas).We post news and information essential for all Canvas users at KTH (mainly students, teachers/employees). You can remove the announcement by clicking the cross at the top right corner, but please read the information carefully before doing so. You can find old entries under the "Current" and "Recent" tabs (from the last four months) under Settings for your Canvas Account (top left menu).

E-learning newsfeed

On the newsfeed E-Learning News (KTH) , you find tips, inspiration and other information about Canvas and E-learning at KTH. You can subscribe to the feed directly to your email in Outlook. Follow the RSS guide (KTH)  . The URL of the E-learning RSS feed to enter is:

Many of the e-learning systems are procured by KTH and thereby developed by external suppliers. The needs and change requests from KTH become one factor in the priority process for the supplier, which needs to satisfy many customers.

Requests for new features in Canvas

You can send your requests to , and we will see what is possible to fulfil. In some cases, we need to forward it to the provider Instructure, but we will always let you know the outcome. Canvas also has its forum for requests (external page, Canvas Community)  where you can make suggestions and see other people's suggestions and "vote" on them. Remember that it is a slow way to influence, and the forum is run entirely by Canvas in the United States.
