Managing secondary employment
As a manager, you should remind employees to report their secondary employment. The Head of School assesses potential risks with support from HR, and you can contact HR for guidance.
Remind employees to report secondary employment
For government employees in Sweden, there are specific regulations regarding secondary employment. Secondary employment includes almost any activity outside of regular employment that is not part of private life, regardless of whether it provides financial compensation or not. As a manager, you should remind your employees to report any secondary employment that could be considered a conflict of interest. Remind them each year in March. The Head of School is responsible for assessing whether a secondary employment activity is non-permitted, but may ask you for additional information regarding your employees' activities. HR collects the secondary employment forms from the employees. You can also contact HR for guidance or advice on assessing secondary employment.
