Register allowance for special trips in KTH-Expense

In KTH-Expense, all trips start from Sweden and end in Sweden. When your trip is different, e.g. starts or ends abroad, you need to register your trip in a special way.

Trips start or end abroad

Example of a trip that starts abroad and ends in Sweden

You are already in Germany, will be attending a conference there and will then travel back to Sweden:

  • The trip began in Sweden: enter the date/time when you left your home in Germany
  • The country was left: enter the same time as above
  • Destination: select Germany
  • Arrival in destination country: enter the same time as above
  • Departure from destination country: date/time when the plane took off from Germany
  • Arrival in Sweden: date/time when the plane landed in Sweden
  • The trip ended, office or home: date/time when you arrived at KTH or to your home.

Example of a trip that starts in Sweden but ends abroad

You are traveling from Sweden to France and staying there after a conference:

  • The trip began in Sweden: enter the date/time when you left your home in Sweden or from KTH
  • The country was left: date/time when the plane took off
  • Destination: select France
  • Arrival in destination country: date/time when the plane landed in France
  • Departure from destination country: date/time when the conference ended
  • Arrival in Sweden: enter the same time as above
  • The trip ended, office or home: enter the same time as above.

Example of a trip that starts and ends within the same country

You are already abroad, for example on an overseas assignment (URA) in Toronto, Canada, and are traveling within the country to a conference in Montreal:

  • The trip began in Sweden: enter the date/time when you left your home in Toronto
  • The country was left: enter the same time as above
  • Destination: select Canada
  • Arrival in destination country: enter the same time as above
  • Departure from destination country: date/time when you returned to your home in Toronto
  • Arrival in Sweden: enter the same time as above
  • The trip ended, office or home: enter the same time as above.

Traveling between countries with time differences

Example of a trip that starts in Japan to USA and then back to Sweden

  • The trip began in Sweden: enter the date/time when you left your home in Japan
  • The country was left: enter the same time as above
  • Destination: select USA
  • Arrival in destination country: enter the same time as above
  • Departure from destination country: date/time when the plane took off from the USA
  • Arrival in Sweden: date/time when the plane landed in Sweden
  • The trip ended, office or home: date/time when you arrived to KTH or to your home.
