Book computer rooms
You as a teacher are responsible for booking computer rooms for your students if your course contains elements that must be performed in a computer room. This explains how to choose and book a computer room and what your students need to know to access the computer rooms and how they log in.
Who can book a computer room?
All employees at KTH can book computer rooms.
Select and book a computer room
As course responsible, when you are booking a computer room, remember to think about the opening hours. The general computer rooms are usually open 24 hours a day, but some are closed at night. In summer, computer rooms may be closed for maintenance.
Select computer room from the computer room maps (Student web) , or search for computer room names on KTH Places .
Then follow the instructions for Room booking at KTH to book the room you have chosen.
Inform your students about login
To be able to log in to the computers in the student computer rooms, users must have a KTH account .
External users who intend to use the computers in the KTH's student computer rooms need to receive a special login if they do not have a KTH account. For more information, read Order login to external users .
Ensure access to the computer room
Students have access to the general computer rooms on their campus and can also request access to computer rooms on one of KTH's other campuses. For the classrooms that do not belong to the IT department, special access permits may be required. These are handled, if applicable, locally at the schools.
Ensure that students, teachers, and lab assistants have access to a booked computer room. If they are unsure, refer them to the KTH card office for access and access card matters .
