Interview and reference templates

Here you will find KTH customized interview and reference templates for technical, administrative and service personnel, researchers, research engineers, postdoctoral fellows, Teaching assistant and temporary (intermittent) positions.

The importance of asking the right questions

KTH has chosen to use the competency-based recruitment method (CBR). The method involves working in a structured way with a focus on recruiting the right skills in relation to the needs of the organization and assessing the personal competences of applicants in an equal and qualitative way. The CBR method includes, amongst other things, working with structured interviews with behavioral questions. Contact HR at your school for more information about competence-based recruitment and for support in the organization and execution of structured interviews.

In KTH's recruitment system Varbi, the personal competencies found in the recruitment permit / employment profile / advertisement can be highlighted and this generates an interview and reference template with a list of questions for the selected competencies. HR helps the recruiting manager with the handling of this in the recruitmen system Varbi. You find these interview and reference templates here under related documents.

It is also important to assess the interview responses in a structured way using a common template/scale, whether you are interviewing with others or on your own. Please use the assessment template found.
