*This is an index (0-100), containing the average result of the drivers in Pulse index (the 10 recurring core questions). Higher results indicate that the employees experience a more satisfactory working situation in their day-to-day job.
Core questions
The Pulse Index has for the first time since the last measurement, decreased, albeit only by one point. KTH's strongest area, Enthusiasm, with the question "We have a positive working climate at our workplace" has decreased by one point since the last survey. The second strongest area is now Clarity - Responsibilities, with the question "My work tasks and areas of responsibilities are clear to me". Since the start of the Employee Pulse, the area has increased by a total of six points. The weakest area continues to be Balance - workload, with the question "My current workload is at an appropriate level", where the score has increased by one point since the last survey. The area of Balance - work/leisure with the question "I have a good balance between work and free time", has also increased by one point since the last measurement.
Theme area: Physical work environment
The biggest improvement in results can be seen on the question "An evacuation drill has been carried out at my workplace during the past 12 months", which has increased by 21 points since the measurement in Q3 2023. However, almost 28% of respondents responded "don't know" to the question, which shows that there is still development potential in the area of evacuation drills, even if it is the strongest result in the theme of physical work environment. The questions "I feel that the fire protection in the premises where I work is good (e.g. escape routes, alarms, fire extinguishers)" and "We act in accordance with our safety requirements and safety regulations", just like the last survey of this theme area, have scores that are hight and which have also improved somewhat . The question "The ventilation and indoor climate (temperature and draft) at my workplace is good" continues to have the worst result. We also see a continued weak result for the question "I use my wellness hour for physical training". Physical exercise is one of the single most important factors for good health, well-being and resistance to disease and injury. KTH sees health and wellness as an important matter because prosperous employees provide better conditions to be able to meet the demands of working life. Managers should therefore enable space in the work to utilize the wellness hour and employees should take the opportunity and use the hour for physical exercise. Employees are primarily responsible for their own health and for the development of their personal resources. Employeeship also entails a responsibility for actively participating in the work for health and work environment in the workplace, as well as a healthy development of the activities.
