Core questions
The Pulse Index has increased with one point since the last survey. KTH's strongest area, Enthusiasm, with the question "We have a positive working climate at our workplace" is unchanged since the last measurement. The areas Clarity - Responsibilities, with the question "My work tasks and areas of responsibilities are clear to me" and Inclusion, with the question "I feel community in the workplace" are, as in the last survey, tied for second place and is with unchanged results. The weakest area continues to be Balance - workload, with the question "My current workload is at an appropriate level", where the score has increased by two points since the last survey. The area of Balance - work/leisure with the question "I have a good balance between work and free time", has also increased by two points since the last survey.
Theme area: Treatment and interaction
Compared to the most recent survey with the theme of treatment and interaction (quarter 1 2024), you can see a somewhat positive development in the results. The questions with the strongest results are "I feel that employees from all backgrounds are treated equally at my workplace" (+1 point) and "I feel included at my workplace" (+2 points). The latter question has been strengthened by a total of 4 points since it was first asked in Q1 2023.
A question with weaker results but which has improved since quarter 1 2024 is "My workplace does a good job of promoting an inclusive work environment" (+2 points).
11% of respondents have answered that they have been subjected to unwelcome behavior* at the workplace in the last 12 months, which is an unchanged result since the survey in Q1 2023 and Q1 2024. 18% of respondents have answered that they do not know where to seek support if they have been subjected to unwelcome behaviour, which is a positive decrease of 2% since the survey in quarter 1 2024. 23% of respondents have answered that they do not know where to report instances of unwelcome behaviour, which is also a positive decrease of 3% since the survey in quarter 1 2024.
Overall, the result shows a somewhat positive direction in the theme area of treatment and interaction during the last 12 months. The unchanged result on the question regarding subjection to unwelcome behavior is, however, an example that we must continue to work together to improve the way we treat each other in the workplace.
*Unwelcome behavior is a collective term for discrimination, harassment, sexual harassment and victimization. Read more on the intranet about KTH's routines for instances of discrimination, harassment, sexual harassment and victimization .
