KTH Employee Pulse 14 May 2024

Below is an interpretation of KTH's overall results from quarter 2, 2024

Measurement period Pulse Index* Response rate
14 - 22 May 2024 67 (+1) 64 % (-2 %)

*This is an index (0-100), containing the average result of the drivers in Pulse index (the 10 recurring core questions). Higher results indicate that the employees experience a more satisfactory working situation in their day-to-day job.

Core questions

The Pulse Index has increased by another point since the last measurement. Compared to the survey during the same period in 2023 (quarter 2), the Pulse Index has increased by five points. Overall, the result on specific core questions is unchanged or slightly improved. KTH's strongest area, Enthusiasm, with the question "We have a positive working climate at our workplace" has been strengthened by one point since the last measurement. The second strongest area Inclusion, with the question "I feel community at work", has also strengthened by one point since the last survey. The weakest area continues to be Balance - workload, with the question "My current workload is at an appropriate level", where the result has weakened by one point since the last measurement. The area Balance - work/leisure with the question "I have a good balance between work and leisure", is unchanged since the last measurement.

Theme area: Organization and leadership

All questions within the theme area have an improved result since the measurement with the same theme area last year (quarter 2). A completely new question was asked, which was: "In my group/unit/division, we have reviewed the latest results from the Employee Pulse". The answers indicate that the vast majority of respondents has taken part of the results. This question has the strongest result of all the questions in this quarter pulse. With almost as good results comes the question "My immediate manager is available when I need it". It continues to point to an ongoing dialogue between manager and employee.

The question with the weakest result is still "The overall direction for KTH is clear", however with a seven-point improvement since the second quarter of 2023. One reason for the improved result may be the work with KTH's vision and overall goals 2024–2028 .
